The University of Amsterdam (UvA) and the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (HvA) are among the Netherlands’ largest educational institutions.

When Atlassian announced the end of support for its Data Center products, the universities seized the opportunity to accelerate their migration to the Cloud — ensuring stability, scalability, and innovation readiness.
Challenge
Migrating 131 Jira projects, 96 Confluence spaces, and 18 apps without disrupting day-to-day work was no small task.
The goal extended beyond a technical transition — UvA and HvA aimed for a platform capable of supporting growth, reinforcing governance, and enabling innovation.
Approach
