Sopra Steria has been selected for the VNG Cyber Resilience framework. VNG is the Association of Dutch Municipalities, and the framework helps participating municipalities access qualified cybersecurity support through pre-selected providers.
Municipalities deliver services people rely on every day, while facing increasing cyber threats and rising expectations around accountability and readiness. The VNG framework is designed to help municipalities act faster and strengthen resilience in a
structured way, protecting service continuity and public trust.
Sopra Steria will contribute across three areas of the framework. Sopra Steria was appointed as prime contractor for Governance (Lot 1) and Detection (Lot 4), and as a subcontractor on Awareness (Lot 2) via
partner Awareways. Delivery will be supported by Trustbound and Responders.now, combining governance and compliance expertise with detection capabilities, incident response support, and practical awareness and crisis preparedness.
“I’m excited to deliver real societal impact through this VNG framework, working with Trustbound, Responders.now and Awareways to help municipalities strengthen resilience and keep public services running,” said Gijs van den Elshout, Business Line Director Cybersecurity, Sopra Steria
“Cyber resilience depends on people and preparedness. We’re pleased to work with Sopra Steria to help municipalities strengthen awareness and crisis readiness,” said Arthur Timmerman, co-founder & CCO, Awareways.
